Lum Head is at the heart of the Gatley and Heald Green community and provides a Diverse, Nurturing and Aspirational learning environment, it’s in our DNA.  From the moment you come into our school, the learning atmosphere envelops you and you are at ease. Visitors to our classrooms frequently comment on the calm but purposeful working environment and the happy students.

I want our children to be the very best that they can be, we encourage them to have high aspirations.  From Reception through to Year 6 we teach them the skills needed to become self-regulated learners.  We use evidence-based strategies and research to constantly improve the teaching in our school.  Our children embrace daily learning challenges, applying a cycle of plan, monitor and evaluate to establish good learning habits, building on their success to become independent learners.

I am proud of our children and our school community and we make sure we take time to celebrate our achievements.
