Job Title: School Administrative Officer Hours of Post: 27.5 hours per week Hours of Work: 8.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday (0.5 unpaid lunch break) Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only Start Date of Post: As soon as possible Salary: Scale 4, points 7 to 11 (£24,294 to £25,979 FTE) pro rata Actual Salary: £15,444 to £16,516 We are looking for an efficient and dynamic school administrator with excellent organisational skills to provide a wide range of administrative support to the Headteacher and staff of the school. As the initial point of contact for families, visitors and telephone callers, you will need to have an excellent telephone manner, good communication skills and be able to deal with staff, parents, visitors and children in a busy environment. Experience of SIMS is highly desirable. The role requires a strong, organised person who has confidence to work in a busy environment and the satisfaction that you are supporting children and families. As the first person to meet and greet visitors to school, the successful candidate should: • Have previous experience within an administration role • Have excellent administrative skills and the ability to multi-task • Ability to prioritise time and workload • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills • Be friendly, approachable & professional and be able to work as part of a team • Demonstrate the ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion
Key Skills: • Good IT and Microsoft Office skills; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher • Experience working with SIMS highly desirable
