Change to Constitution

At the meeting of 11 January 2019, the Friends of Lum Head Committee proposed to amend our constitution as follows:

  • To set the minimum number of committee members at 3 instead of 2 (by amending clause 1.4 on page 2)
  • To set the maximum number of consecutive terms committee members can stand at 3 (by amending clause 6.2 on page 4)

You can read our existing constitution here: FoLH Constitution 2018

In accordance with our constitution, the committee must notify the members of the Association (which includes all parents, carers and teachers at the school) of any changes, 21 days before these changes are agreed at a general meeting.

These proposed changes will be ratified at the next meeting of the Committee on Friday 1 March.

In the meantime, if you have any comments, please contact us at

Who are Friends of Lum Head?

Friends of Lum Head (FoLH) is our own Parent Teacher Association (PTA). A group of parent volunteers who give up their time to organise fundraising and social events.

Last year we raised over £4,800 and supported the purchase of the new adventure playground and funded new sports equipment and welcome gifts for our new Reception children.

All parents are welcome to come to any FoLH meeting, but if you would like any more information, you can contact us at

How can you help?

Could you help to organise an event? Join a sub-committee, bring your ideas and help to make our events as successful as they can be.

All events need volunteers! If you could spare just one hour of your time to run a stall or serve refreshments, it would be hugely appreciated.

Support our events! Just come along with your children, have fun and know that you are raising money to support our school.
