Community Gardening at Scholes Park
A group of our children joined in the endeavours of Friends of Scholes Park to make the community space a lovely place to be. They planted up the new community planters alongside children from other schools in the area and were very proud of the end results.
Reception Welcome Assembly
Welcome Assembly is very special for our Reception children. Everyone in school extended a very warm welcome to the Lum Head Family and children took home a brand new book and and a brand new Lummy Bear. Thank you to Friends of Lum Head for funding these.
WoW Let’s Celebrate Languages
We celebrated the 20 languages that children and adults in our school speak. Parents, visitors, children and staff all taught their languages to classes and we had great fun. It was lovely to hear the children share their languages with friends. Across the school we learnt a little Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, German, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Bulgarian Farsi, Mandarin, Turkish, Welsh and Greek. Wow!
Y6 Transition to High School
Our Y6 children enjoyed a day of art, dance and music at the Kingsway school as part of our Transition to High School Programme.
